Chris Gabriel has been playing guitar for fifteen years. As a singer/songwriter, he has fronted two bands, SGT and The Atlantic. In between those two projects, Chris spent some time touring the country as a hired guitarist. He has played guitar on stage at almost every Hard Rock and House of Blues across the country.

Dan Emery is the founder of Brooklyn Guitar School. He is dedicated to bringing the thrill and pride of guitar playing to all who desire it. He has a Masters in Education from Columbia University Teachers College, and extensive performing experience as songwriter and guitarist for The Dan Emery Mystery Band.

Jaime   Garamella

Jaime teaches guitar, voice, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele and harmonica. He has been teaching since 2001, and especially loves working with beginners. He also likes to incorporate singing into lessons. Students are often surprised to find they really can sing when they thought they couldn't.

Jeff   Koch

Jeff Koch was born and raised in Greenwich Village, the heart of New York City's music scene. He started playing electric bass when he was 12 years old and began studying upright bass his first day of high school a year later. Jeff has been performing regularly in New York City as a rock and jazz bassist.

Kyle   LaLone

Kyle started taking lessons when he was 9yrs old and formed his first rock band, Myth, at age 12. He hasn't looked back since! By the end of high school, his band had played numerous festivals and parties and opened for recording artists American Hi-Fi, Willa Ford, and Dream.

Marisa   Torrieri

Marisa began playing guitar 10 years ago in college at the University of Maryland. Five guitars, six bands, and many solo projects later, Marisa now preaches the gospel of rock and roll, and teaches guitar to early and advanced beginners everywhere.

Michelangelo comes to us from Boston as a recent graduate and scholarship student of Berklee College of Music, where he earned a degree in Guitar Performance. He has over 15 years of playing experience in all styles of music, with Classic Rock and Metal holding a special place in his heart.

Sebastian is a guitarist, songwriter, composer, arranger and educator. In his original projects he often includes musical elements from his Colombian roots rubbing against elements of urban New York City life.

Shane   Chapman

Chapman comes to us from Seattle, where the summers aren't that hot, the winters aren't that cold and it doesn't rain as much as you'd think. Since he left his hometown of Anacortes, Washington in 1997, he has taught English in Prague, waited tables in Scotland, played shows in Australia and rocked it as a poor musician in five continents and over thirty countries.
